Mathematics
This is an example of our typesetting work on Mathematics, specifically Evolutionary Ecology Research Volume 18, edited by Pasquale Raia and Mikael Fortelius.
Any mathematic equation has its own set of complexities which involves recomposing each element. Each item within the equation has to be set at differing line heights, including any superscript or subscript characters. Some scientific journals and books suffer from the same issues. We are able to typeset mathematics in its true form. Some people cheat by capturing it as artwork and slotting it in to the page. We don’t, because we like the challenge of manually positioning each component of the equation.
